The Lion in Winter, a play by James Goldman, at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts from November 17 - December 4.Often revived, this play about King Henry II of England, was the basis of the Oscar-winning film which starred Peter O'Toole and Katharine Hepburn.

2011 Parade of Stores, December 2-3, This is a "No Sales Tax" Sales Event! Shop Our Local Merchants For Your Chance to Win great door prizes and an opportunity to win one of three incredible Super Prize Packages! Various stores throughout Pagosa and Archuleta County will participate. The event runs all day, both days. Please check with individual participating stores for their hours.

Outlaw Snowdown , January 13 - 16, featuring Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland and the Stranglers, Supersuckers, Band of Heathens, Elizabeth Cook, Ride in knee-deep powder by day and rock out to Outlaw bands by night!  This first-annual festival will feature your favorite renegades and rebel-rousers and could get a little rowdy. Fear not, the healing waters will, well… heal you.

Winterfest Weekend 2012, Feb 17-19, Join us in Pagosa Springs for 3 days of fun winter events over President's Day Weekend, Moonlight / Sunset Cross Country Ski Social, "Anything Goes" Downhill Sled Race, Nordic Ski Races, Snow sculpting contest, 2nd annual Penguin Plunge into the San Juan River, Nordic Races, Ski Races at Wolf Creek, ..and much, much more. Exact times and locations will be published closer to the event; locations are determined by snow conditions.

Snowman Stomp Snowshoe Romp, February 18, The Pines Restaurant (Pagosa Springs Golf Course), The offering begins with a kids race at 12:00 pm (length to be determined prior to the race start and contingent on the ages of the participants). St. Patrick's Day Parade, Saturday, March 17, Green is the color for the 2012 St. Patrick's Day Parade! Saturday, March 17th at 4:30pm. The Parade Route: 6th St. at Hwy 160, running through to 2nd St. at Hwy 160. Bring your family. Meet your friends. Join the fun, as everyone becomes Irish for a day! Don't forget: Green clothing of some type is required. Getting your friends to join in is encouraged. Having a boat-load of fun is unavoidable! Entries are now being taken at the Chamber. San Juan River Rod Run Car Show, Friday, May 18, 2012, 2012 will celebrate our 4th year for the San Juan River Rod Car Show - with over 100 cars being shown. Pagosa Springs will be full of the classics. May 18-20, starting at 5:00pm, Special Awards Festivities on May 20th at 10:00am, Annual T-Shirt to the first 100 entries, NEW awards this year - such as Participants choice, Peoples choice and many more!

Rapids & Rhythms, Saturday, May 19, Join us for the 2nd Annual Rapids & Rhythms in Town Park on Saturday, May 19th from 10am - 6pm. Events during the day will include a River Rodeo, boat parade, stick fetching for the canine attendees, river boarder cross and a boat race. The town added two new river features last fall, creating a world class whitewater experience during spring meltoff in the downtown Pagosa Springs section of the San Juan River. The festival will be a great day for whitewater enthusiasts - or spectators that want to watch amazing boaters take on some incredible whitewater in a variety of events. Or, just stop by for the music and beer!
